Kurrajong Public School's Scarecrow Class

Year 1 at Kurrajong Public School, NSW, and teacher, Mrs Janelle Barwick, created a marvellous classroom full of scarecrows for the 2005 Kurrajong Scarecrow Festival.
Classroom of scarecrows
Mrs Barwick's creative scarecrow design was simple to make, but extremely effective! Mrs Barwick and each of the 22 students in the class painted a scarecrow face on a paper plate. Then bodies were made by stuffing clothing with newspaper and all the scarecrows were set up in a classroom scene for the Festival.
