	Middleton Country Fair Scarecrow Competition is held annually on the first Saturday of February, south of Hobart in Tasmania 'in the heart of Scarecrow Country'. There are scarecrows on fences in paddocks and up trees -- lavishly and humorously attired. Middleton Country Fair also features stalls, animal displays, sheep shearing, bands, veteran and classic cars and kids games -- a real family day.
